Gina Ortiz Jones was the 27th Under Secretary of the Air Force, the second-highest civilian overseeing the Air Force and Space Force. Reduced lunch and affordable housing helped Gina graduate from John Jay High School and earn a college scholarship. She is an Air Force and Iraq War veteran. She is the daughter of an immigrant and public school teacher.
